A Huge Success for Roger's Rehabilitation Walks

Today, we had a fantastic breakthrough with Roger, a dog we're working with who’s on rehabilitation walks due to a leg injury.
Since his injury, Roger has spent a lot of time indoors and hasn’t had many chances to socialise, leading to a bit of reactivity when he sees other dogs. Last week, this escalated to lunging and barking.
To help Roger feel more at ease, we asked his owner if we could introduce him to our own dog, Baxter. Baxter is a calm and tolerant 9-year-old Labrador—perfect for a controlled introduction.
We started by sitting with Roger on a bench while Matt walked Baxter around the edge of the park. Each time Roger sat calmly, he was rewarded.
Slowly but surely, Matt brought Baxter closer until they were able to meet face-to-face.
The result? No lunging, no barking, and a successful half-hour walk together!

We’re so proud of Roger’s progress, and this experience has given us all a big boost of confidence in his journey.
Well done, Roger!
